Bhadra Tiger Reserve — Jeep & Boat Safari (River Tern Lodge)

River Tern Lodge sits on a hillock above the Bhadra reservoir backwaters near Lakkavalli, Chikmagalur, on the edge of Bhadra Tiger Reserve. The core experience is a forest jeep safari into the reserve plus a boat safari on the reservoir backwaters, guided by the operator and forest staff. You may see gaur, elephant, deer, the occasional leopard or tiger, and a rich birdlife including river terns, hornbills and grey junglefowl. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.
