Forest Department–regulated open 4x4 gypsy safaris through Kanha Tiger Reserve — sal forests and the famous grassy maidans (meadows) of Mandla & Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh. Core tourism zones are Kanha, Kisli, Mukki and Sarhi, with buffer zones alongside. Permits and vehicles are allotted online by the Forest Department; morning and evening shifts.
